COME GET SOME! |
If you want some, come get some. That is life's basic principle. It's either you get it or you lose it. |
Respect a man’s car, a man respects you (The Transporter 2) – not just a man’s car, but all of his stuff. Nothing pisses me off more than a scumbag who would take my stuff without my permission, and when I look for it I find it in his possession. Respect downgrade: -9,000
Because a man who doesn’t spend time with his family can never be a real man (The Godfather I) – I once knew a guy who whined about how his family sucks. Turned out that he whined just about everything. Being a whiner is very unmanly because a real man take actions. If you came from a not-so-good family, show your strength not by dissing them but by showing your appreciation at least. And make sure to build a better family of your own.
Look at this. Look at what they make you give (The Bourne Identity) – This was uttered by The Professor (Clive Owen) while gasping for his final breath. Yeah, what do they make you give? And realize it on your dying day? Why just now? I know that making arbitrary decisions is hard, but to lessen those kind of decisions we have to figure out some of the decisions that can have an impact to our future, like health, education and family. You don’t want to say to your cancer-ridden future self “Why did I fucking smoked?” while on your deathbed.
It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing. Such a little thing (Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring) – this one was said by Boromir, portrayed by Sean Bean. Why do Sean Bean’s characters were best remembered by making stupid decisions? His Ned Stark’s head was chopped off because he showed mercy to ruthless enemies and here in LOTR, he died protecting the ring by taking arrows - the same ring he dismissed as a “little thing.” Nothing is little, folks. That little thumbscrew lying on the floor and you decided to take care of later? What is someone who is carrying a vat of acid suddenly stepped in that little thumbscrew? How about that small hole in your wirescreen? You say “it’s nothing” until a dengue-carrying mosquito makes it way into that hole, lands on your neck and make a meal out of your blood. We shouldn’t take little things for granted for they can make a major impact later in our lives.
Yeah, who are you to give advice, creep-o? (Rocky) – Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) gave a teenage girl some tough brotherly love and what did he get and return? “Screw you, creep-o!” He walked out of the porch frustrated and uttered that famous line. Who is he anyway to give some advice? I always find myself getting into the position of Rocky, giving advices to shits and smart people alike, and I don’t feel bad about it. Don’t want my unsolicited advice? Then screw you creep-o! I don’t feel afraid of giving some pointers of how to live because hey, that’s from my own experience. I also never give advice on topics that I’m not versed with. So go ahead people. Give others some brotherly love because when they look back into it, they will have that oh-he-told-me-that moment.
